We may receive it as a compliment – or not so much as – when someone says we look like this or that celebrity.  I was mistaken for an actor in a series called “Shemesh” (an Israeli comedy series). To tell you the truth, back then I did not take it lightly as, unfortunately for me, the comedian in question is not – how can I put it mildly - “good-looking”. I am vain, I know…

Recently I came across a nifty tool called Celebrity Morph by My Heritage, one of the largest Genealogy and online family tree builder.

What is Celebrity Morph?

First of all, it is a lot of fun. They use face recognition technology in order to match traces and features of your face and find who you look like the most. For that, you need to upload a face photo and run the program (it is free!). Once that is done you have three options:

Option one: you can make a collage in which you gather not only one, but a number of celebrities-lookalikes.

Option two: You upload your photo and find out the celebrity you most look like. The cool thing about this option is that you can easily create a short video showing your face “transforming” into that particular celebrity.  I’ve done that, and posted in my blog. And again, it is totally free.

Option three: Let people vote for you by uploading your photo and having your celebrity match done.  In this option, people from all over the world will rate your picture-match from 1 (=I don’t see the resemblance) to 10 (=you and your celebrity were separated at birth - LOL).

Not everyone is into doing this, but I promise you, it is a great way to have fun with friends and family.

Who does Junior look like: daddy or mummy?

Resolve this matter once and for all with the Look-a-like Meter. This is not only a funny way to “prove” who your baby looks like the most.

All the applications mentioned above are free of charge and you can post them on your personal profiles such as in Facebook, on your personal blog or site. You will be amazed by the number of people who will respond to it. Some agreeing, some vehemently disagreeing with the results.
